The Sun Valley Opera’s mission is to provide the highest quality opera, vocal arts and opera education to the Wood River Valley. 


Past Events:

2018 - The Sun Valley Opera is presenting an impressive line up for their Winter Festival. The season starts off with Matthew Kacergis singing Songs for the Cinema: Casablanca to La La Land on January 20 in the Community School Theater at 7:30pm. The Costa Jackson Sisters will present a concert on on January 30th, also at the Community School Theatre at 7:30. Opera Idaho in association with the Sun Valley Opera will bring Madama Butterfly to the Church of the Bigwood on February 10th at 6:30pm. Hadleigh Adams will cap off the festival with a Diva Party and private concert at the Limelight Hotel on March 1 and a concert open to the public on March 2, also at the Limelight Hotel. 


January 12th is the Screening of "The King and I" at the new Argyros Performing Arts Center ar 7:00 pm.



February 2nd - Michael Fabiano and Pre- Concert Diva Party will be held at the Argyros Performing Arts Center.  The Diva Party starts at 6:00 pm, followed by the concert at 7:30 pm.  Michael is the first singer to win both the Beverly Sills Artist Award and the Richard Tucker Award in the same year, and is considered one of the best tenors in the world today. February 18th - Emmett O'Hanlon will present a Cabaret Concert at the Argyros at 7:30 pm. Emmett is the winner of the 2018 Opera Birmingham vocal competion, was a member of the Ryan Center, has played may roles in the Lyric Opera in Chicago, and has released several albums and DVDs. March 12th - The last show of the Winter Festival is a Signature Salon Concert by Emily Fons which will be held in a private home, location to be announced.  Emily has been called "one of the best singing actors of her generation" by Opera News.  More information and tickets here.
