The Community Library's Ernest Hemingway Festival is truly one of a kind. This is incredibly special as it explores the relationship between Hemingway and nature by looking at his sense of place in the natural world. Nearly every one of his books contain some kind of natural landscape that the main character is drawn too yet also must struggle against. The nature aspects of these books were not only important to the overall theme of the book, but they were important to Hemingway himself. And Sun Valley and nature go together hand in hand. The festival will contain lectures, discussions and presentations that promise to stimulate deep and intellectual thought as it pertains to Hemingway's relationship with nature in Sun valley, and the role nature plays in his books.
